In his final 2025 NFL Mock Draft, ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has the Minnesota Vikings selecting Ohio State offensive guard Donovan Jackson with the 24th overall pick.

Despite Minnesota recently adding veterans Will Fries and Ryan Kelly to strengthen the interior offensive line, Kiper believes the Vikings will continue investing in the trenches. Jackson brings versatility and experience, having played both guard and tackle during his college career. Known for his quick feet and polished technique, Jackson started 40 games at Ohio State and allowed just four sacks in that span.

Kiper isn’t alone in his assessment. Former Vikings head coach Mike Tice praised Jackson as a “can’t-go-wrong player,” highlighting his readiness to contribute at the next level.

If the Vikings do select Jackson, he could become a long-term solution on the offensive line and help solidify protection for whoever emerges as the team’s quarterback of the future.
